Final Examination for the Degree Award
The Master’s Degree in Computer Science is awarded upon successful completion of a final examination consisting of the discussion of a thesis with original content, prepared by the student under the supervision of one or more supervisors.
The thesis must address an innovative topic or project and be carried out independently. It must also document the innovative results achieved, as well as relate the work undertaken to the current state of knowledge in the field of computer science and information technologies.
Working on the thesis enables the graduate to acquire additional skills and knowledge that will support adequate integration into the professional world and, if desired, the continuation of studies in a doctoral program.

Degree Examination Committee
The work carried out must be presented before a Degree Examination Committee.
The candidate:

has 20 minutes available for the presentation before the Committee, and
-
may choose to give the presentation in Italian or English.

Thesis evaluation

The supervisor(s) and the “controrelatore” (reviewer) must complete the evaluation using the following form (available in .doc and .pdf formats), which also includes a section with comments that must be shared with the candidate.

The supervisor is responsible for providing these comments to the candidate.

The evaluation from each supervisor must be submitted to the Teaching Office, at least 15 days before the graduation session.

The “controrelatore” ‘s (reviewer) evaluation must be submitted to the Teaching Office, at least 7 days before the graduation session.
