Qualità

The Master’s Degree Programme in Informatics for Digital Health has established a system for quality assurance and improvement of its curriculum, in accordance with the University’s guidelines.

The Quality Assurance (QA) process of the Department of Computer Science, with the aim of ensuring the quality of teaching activities, as well as those relating to research and the third mission, monitors the achievement of the objectives set out in the Department’s Strategic Plan, and proposes actions aimed at the continuous improvement of these activities. To ensure compliance with the University’s QA policies, the actions undertaken are determined in consultation with the University’s Quality Assurance Unit and Evaluation Committee.

The main individuals responsible for the QA process within the Department of Computer Science are:

  • The Head of Department
  • The Quality Assurance Officer
  • The Research Officer and the Third Mission Officer
  • The Joint Staff-Student Committee

The individuals currently holding these positions are listed in the ‘Organisation’ section of the Department’s website.

In particular,

  • the Departmental Quality Assurance Officer is responsible for coordinating the work of those involved in fulfilling the requirements of the AVA System, primarily Programme Directors, PhD Coordinators and Department Heads, in the preparation of SUA reports and the conduct of review activities. The Departmental QA Officer acts as the interface between the Faculty Board and the Department with regard to the quality assurance system;
  • the Joint Staff-Student Committee ensures constant monitoring of the quality of teaching and the educational provision, producing an annual report on activities and services for students. In accordance with the provisions of the University Statute (Art. 34, para. 1, letter e), the Committee draws up this report on the basis of the monitoring carried out by the degree programmes regarding the progress of teaching activities, the results achieved and the functionality of the services available, taking into account the opinions of the teaching committees of the individual programmes (Art. 36).

Advisory Board

The Master’s Degree in Informatics for Digital Health has an international Advisory Board comprising members from both the academic world and industry organisations and companies who, through their professional activities, have demonstrated an interest in these issues or have built their businesses around them. Their role is to represent stakeholders and serve as an authoritative point of reference for keeping pace with the rapid developments in this sector.

Documentation

As part of the Quality Assurance process, the degree programme contributes by compiling the Annual Summary Form (SUA-CdS), the annual monitoring form (SMA) and the periodic review reports, as well as by analysing evaluation questionnaires and reports on the employment status of graduates.
