We help you find money for your education.
We are a non-profit organisation based in Germany called ItS Initiative für transparente Studienförderung (initiative for transparent study grants). The main objective of our initiative is to bring transparency in the EU funding landscape and to ensure that study support is being accessible for everyone. We started our mission in Germany with our platform www.myStipendium.de showing through a matching algorithm all pupils and students in Germany which support options match their profile.
Because of the great success of myStipendium in Germany, we decided to launch an EU version of it. This version does not only cover scholarships but also all other types of funding that could be applied for to finance your own studies. With more than 12,000 funding opportunities and 28 filter criteria, European Funding Guide is the largest study funding portal within the EU. The project is being co-financed by the European Commission.
We are working with international offices, student advisory services, deans, student associations, teachers, professors and university presidents in order to inform about funding opportunities for students. Those students, who currently believe they have no chance of getting funding for their studies, should be motivated to send out applications to several funding institutions.
We have found numerous scholarship programs ourselves and are working with a large number of partners to organize more funds supporting pupils and students in their education.
Our initiative has won a large number of national awards in Germany, amongst other “Germany – Land of Ideas selected location 2012”, “Those responsible 2014 – from the Robert-Bosch-Foundation” and “Start Social 2013/2014” under the patronage of chancellor Angela Merkel. Our platforms and scholarship programs have a strong presence in the media.
The initiative was founded in 2011 by the two (former) PhD students, Mira Maier and Alexander Gassner.
