On this page, you will find all the useful information gathered about the three complementary dimensions of orientation:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li><strong>Prospective students<\/strong>, to support those who are choosing their university path and wish to learn about the educational offerings of the Department of Computer Science,<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li><strong>Enrolled students<\/strong>, aimed at students who are already enrolled and need tools, services, and support to navigate their studies with confidence and success, and<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li><strong>Graduate and post-graduate students<\/strong>, aimed at those approaching graduation and seeking information on career opportunities, internships, master&#8217;s programmes, second-cycle degrees, and postgraduate pathways.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The Department\u2019s goal is to offer comprehensive and inclusive support that fosters informed choices and helps students make the most of their skills and aspirations.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-pb-accordion-item c-accordion__item js-accordion-item no-js\" data-initially-open=\"false\" data-click-to-close=\"true\" data-auto-close=\"true\" data-scroll=\"false\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\">\r\n<h2 id=\"at-290950\" class=\"c-accordion__title js-accordion-controller\" role=\"button\">Prospective students<\/h2>\r\n<div id=\"ac-290950\" class=\"c-accordion__content\">\r\n<p>Our Department organises numerous <strong>orientation initiatives<\/strong> each year, both for the <strong>school\u2013university transition<\/strong> and for the <strong>choice of master\u2019s programmes<\/strong>, and takes part in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unipi.it\/en\/education\/professional-advice-to-businesses-wcpr-lm-en\/orientation\/\">the initiatives promoted by the University<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The Department of Computer Science offers a <strong>Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Computer Science<\/strong> and <strong>four Master\u2019s Degrees<\/strong> taught <strong>in English<\/strong>. Each enrolled student is also assigned a <strong>faculty tutor<\/strong> whom they can contact directly throughout their Bachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s programme.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-button is-style-outline is-style-outline--2\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/didattica.di.unipi.it\/en\/tutoring-and-teaching-support\/\">Discover our tutoring service<\/a><\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The University\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unipi.it\/en\/campus-e-servizi\/services\/listening-and-counselling-service-for-university-students\/\"><strong>Listening and Counselling Service for University Students<\/strong><\/a> offers support related to integration into the university environment, time management and study methods, relationships with peers and faculty, and difficulties such as lack of concentration, anxiety, or low motivation. The Service offers <strong>individual sessions<\/strong>, <strong>group sessions<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/prenotazione-eventi.unipi.it\">seminars<\/a>, and a <strong>psychological counselling<\/strong> service.<\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-pb-accordion-item c-accordion__item js-accordion-item no-js\" data-initially-open=\"false\" data-click-to-close=\"true\" data-auto-close=\"true\" data-scroll=\"false\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\">\r\n<h2 id=\"at-290952\" class=\"c-accordion__title js-accordion-controller\" role=\"button\">Graduate and post-graduate students<\/h2>\r\n<div id=\"ac-290952\" class=\"c-accordion__content\">\r\n<p>Our Department organises initiatives to support informed choices regarding <strong>master\u2019s degrees and advanced training<\/strong> offered by the University of Pisa, as well as activities specifically dedicated to <strong>career orientation<\/strong>. For this reason, many scientific outreach events organised by the Department (conferences, seminars, special events) are also open to our Bachelor\u2019s and Master\u2019s students.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The Department has active <a href=\"https:\/\/didattica.di.unipi.it\/en\/undergraduate-programme-in-computer-science\/internships\/elenco-aziende-convenzionate\/\">internship agreements<\/a> (in Italian) with numerous companies for the completion of the Bachelor\u2019s degree. These include: 5 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dsu.toscana.it\/web\/ardsu\/pisa\">ARDSU dining halls<\/a>, 7 main study rooms, 10 university museums with free admission for students (the 9 Pisa museums of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sma.unipi.it\">University Museum System<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.unipi.it\/en\/\">Natural History Museum<\/a> in Calci), the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cli.unipi.it\">Interdepartmental Language Centre<\/a> (CLI) to learn new languages, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/cuspisa.unipi.it\">University Sports Centre<\/a> (CUS), where you can train and practise your favourite sport. Pisa is a small city, with around ninety thousand inhabitants and about fifty thousand university students! Everything is close: you can reach any place of interest on foot, by bike, or with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.at-bus.it\/it\/pisa\">public transport<\/a>. The sea and mountains are just 20 minutes away by bus. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rfi.it\/it\/stazioni\/pisa-centrale.html\">railway station<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pisa-airport.com\/it\/\">international airport<\/a> \u2013 both located in the city \u2013 connect Pisa with Italy, Europe, and the rest of the world.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Despite its size, the city hosts 3 universities, more than 14 libraries, 12 cinemas, and 4 theatres! Pisa is undoubtedly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unipi.it\/en\/university-and-society\/pisa-a-university-city\/\">a great place to live as a student<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-pb-accordion-item c-accordion__item js-accordion-item no-js\" data-initially-open=\"false\" data-click-to-close=\"true\" data-auto-close=\"true\" data-scroll=\"false\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\">\r\n<h2 id=\"at-290954\" class=\"c-accordion__title js-accordion-controller\" role=\"button\">Admissions and enrolment<\/h2>\r\n<div id=\"ac-290954\" class=\"c-accordion__content\">\r\n<p>The University of Pisa has an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unipi.it\/en\/education\/registration\/enrolment-and-registration\/enrolment-for-international-students\/\">online portal dedicated to admissions and enrolment<\/a>. Here you can find information about fees and financial aid, enrolment procedures, and all useful details for applying to the University of Pisa.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-button is-style-outline is-style-outline--4\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/didattica.di.unipi.it\/en\/enrollment-moving-to-other-courses-universities\/\">Find out how to enroll in our courses<\/a><\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Our Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Computer Science has open access but requires passing the <strong>TOLC-S<\/strong> entrance test and <strong>knowledge of the Italian language<\/strong>.
