Selected students will have the opportunity to spend the second year of the Master\u2019s Degree in M\u00e1laga and obtain the double degree (\u201cLaurea Magistrale in Informatica\u201d from the University of Pisa and \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uma.es\/master-en-ingenieria-informatica\/\">M\u00e1ster Universitario en Ingenier\u00eda Inform\u00e1tica<\/a>\u201d from the University of M\u00e1laga). The thesis work will be jointly supervised by a professor from Pisa and one from M\u00e1laga.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"670\" data-end=\"970\">The courses offered within the <em data-start=\"701\" data-end=\"749\">M\u00e1ster Universitario en Ingenier\u00eda Inform\u00e1tica<\/em> are taught in Spanish, but lecture slides and teaching materials are available in English; moreover, the instructors are available to answer questions and hold office hours in English. Exams may also be taken in English.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"972\" data-end=\"1253\">Students admitted to the Double Degree Programme may apply for a mobility grant for earning credits abroad. In recent years, such grants have amounted to approximately 5,000 euros (the call for applications will be published on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unipi.it\/didattica\/studi-e-tirocini-allestero\/studiare-allestero\/bando-per-lassegnazione-di-borse-di-studio-di-mobilita-presso-atenei-convenzionati-per-il-rilascio-di-titoli-doppi-o-congiunti\/\">this page<\/a>; deadlines are usually at the end of June).<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1260\" data-end=\"1276\">How to Apply<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1278\" data-end=\"1725\">First-year students of the Master\u2019s Degree Programme in Computer Science who wish to join the Double Degree Programme with the University of M\u00e1laga must apply to the <strong data-start=\"1444\" data-end=\"1485\">Internationalization Area Coordinator<\/strong> of the Department of Computer Science (Prof. Andrea Corradini, <a href=\"erasmus@di.unipi.it\">erasmus@di.unipi.it<\/a>) by <strong data-start=\"1573\" data-end=\"1584\">the First of March<\/strong>.<br data-start=\"1585\" data-end=\"1588\" \/>Applications may also be submitted by e-mail (using exclusively the institutional account <em data-start=\"1678\" data-end=\"1706\"><a class=\"decorated-link cursor-pointer\" rel=\"noopener\" data-start=\"1679\" data-end=\"1705\">username@studenti.unipi.it<\/a><\/em>) and must include:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1727\" data-end=\"2575\">\n<li data-start=\"1727\" data-end=\"1865\">\n<p data-start=\"1729\" data-end=\"1865\">Certificate of enrolment in the Master\u2019s Degree Programme in Computer Science, indicating the curriculum to which the student belongs.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1866\" data-end=\"1940\">\n<p data-start=\"1868\" data-end=\"1940\">A short CV, including information on the level of English proficiency.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1941\" data-end=\"2085\">\n<p data-start=\"1943\" data-end=\"2085\">A list of exams taken in the Master\u2019s Degree Programme in Computer Science with the corresponding grades (downloaded from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.studenti.unipi.it\/Home.do\">Alice portal<\/a>).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2086\" data-end=\"2189\">\n<p data-start=\"2088\" data-end=\"2189\">A list of any courses attended during the first semester for which the exam has not yet been taken.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2190\" data-end=\"2264\">\n<p data-start=\"2192\" data-end=\"2264\">A list of the courses currently being attended in the second semester.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2265\" data-end=\"2575\">\n<p data-start=\"2267\" data-end=\"2357\">A study plan for the second year at the University of M\u00e1laga. The study plan must specify:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2360\" data-end=\"2575\">\n<li data-start=\"2360\" data-end=\"2431\">\n<p data-start=\"2362\" data-end=\"2431\">courses chosen from those listed in <a href=\"http:\/\/pages.di.unipi.it\/corradini\/UNIPI-UMA\/Annex_B.pdf\">Annex B<\/a> for a total of 36 ECTS;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2434\" data-end=\"2575\">\n<p data-start=\"2436\" data-end=\"2575\">24 ECTS dedicated to the thesis (see also <a href=\"http:\/\/pages.di.unipi.it\/corradini\/UNIPI-UMA\/Annex_C.pdf\">Annex C<\/a>).<br data-start=\"2487\" data-end=\"2490\" \/>If available, please also indicate the thesis topic and the name of the supervisor.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2577\" data-end=\"2947\">Applications will be evaluated by a committee appointed by the Degree Programme Board, which will select up to <strong data-start=\"2688\" data-end=\"2705\">five students<\/strong> based on academic excellence and English proficiency. The selected applications will then be forwarded to the partner university for further evaluation.
