Students enrolled in the 2025\/2026 academic year can compile their study plans directly on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.studenti.unipi.it\/Home.do;jsessionid=D52B0D4C2B57388A776D8EB3FD1B5346.esse3-unipi-web-prod-esse3web393?cod_lingua=eng\">Alice portal<\/a>. The window for compilation has been closed on November 30, 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify\" data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">Students Enrolled from the 2017\/2018 a.y. onwards<\/h3>\n<h5>Is it necessary to submit a study plan?<\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Students enrolled in the Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Computer Science (LM-18) from the<strong> 2017\/2018 academic year onward<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong data-start=\"297\" data-end=\"342\">are NOT required to <\/strong>submit any study plan.<\/p>\n<p>Upon enrolment in the first year, each student chooses one of the available curricula or tracks (described starting from the <a href=\"https:\/\/didattica.di.unipi.it\/en\/master-programme-in-computer-science\/\">degree programme presentation<\/a> page) and follows the study plan provided for the chosen curriculum.<\/p>\n<h5 data-start=\"81\" data-end=\"133\">Selection of the 9 CFU of\u00a0 \u201cElective Courses\u201d<\/h5>\n<p>Formal authorization from the Degree Programme Council is <strong>only<\/strong> required if the <strong>9 CFU (ECTS credits) for \u201cFREE CHOICE\u201d are<\/strong> <strong>NOT<\/strong> included in the list of \u201crelated\u201d courses (\u201cAFFINI\u201d) defined for the selected curriculum.<\/p>\n<h5 data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\"><strong>How to Request Authorization<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\" data-pm-slice=\"3 3 []\">\n<li>Fill in the appropriate <strong>form<\/strong> depending on the chosen track (curriculum): <a href=\"https:\/\/didattica.di.unipi.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/12\/template-pds-wif-ENGLISH-NUOVO-regolamento-1-BD2.doc\">BD.doc<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/didattica.di.unipi.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/12\/template-pds-wif-ENGLISH-NUOVO-regolamento-1-AI2.doc\">AI.doc<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/didattica.di.unipi.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/12\/template-pds-wif-ENGLISH-NUOVO-regolamento-1-FS2.doc\">FS.doc<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/didattica.di.unipi.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/12\/template-pds-wif-ENGLISH-NUOVO-regolamento-1-ICT2.doc\">ICT.doc<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Send the form to the <strong>Study Plan Committee<\/strong> at <a href=\"mailto:pdswif@di.unipi.it\">pdswif@di.unipi.it<\/a>, which is in charge for instructing the practice<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The request must be submitted:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong><em>before<\/em> taking any exams<\/strong> of the courses for which approval is being requested and,<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">in any case, <strong data-start=\"441\" data-end=\"493\">at least 3 months before the expected graduation sessions<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is necessary to allow the Study Plan Committee to carry out its preliminary evaluation and the Degree Programme Council to issue the required authorization (Council meeting of 28\/11\/2022).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>\u26a0\ufe0f <\/strong>Failure to comply with this timeline will result in the non-approval of the new study plan. In such cases, the student will be required either to take the exams specified in the CdS regulation, or those approved in the last submitted study plan.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>Special Cases<\/h3>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify\" data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">Students Enrolled in the 2016\/2017 a.y. and in previous years<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The study plans already approved for students enrolled in the <strong>2016\/2017 academic year and<\/strong><strong data-start=\"67\" data-end=\"194\"> in previous years<\/strong> <strong>remain valid<\/strong>, provided they are followed in their entirety. They may be modified, by changing one or more elective or free-choice courses, <strong data-start=\"451\" data-end=\"485\">without submitting any request<\/strong>, as long as the new study plan remains compliant with the regulation in force at the time of the student\u2019s enrollment.<\/p>\n<h5 data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">Recognition of exams<\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The recognition, for the purpose of completing the study programme, of elective or free-choice courses different from those specified in the student\u2019s own <a href=\"https:\/\/didattica.di.unipi.it\/en\/master-programme-in-computer-science\/rules-and-resolutions-2\/\">regulation<\/a> (i.e., the one in force at the time of enrollment) must be authorized by the Degree Programme Council.<\/p>\n<h5>How to Request Authorization<\/h5>\n<p>The authorization request, including all the courses the student has taken and\/or intends to take, must be submitted by filling out the appropriate form:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>one of the following forms following the new degree system, depending on the selected track (curriculum):<a href=\"https:\/\/didattica.di.unipi.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/12\/template-pds-wif-ENGLISH-NUOVO-regolamento-1-BD2.doc\">BD.doc<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/didattica.di.unipi.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/12\/template-pds-wif-ENGLISH-NUOVO-regolamento-1-AI2.doc\">AI.doc<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/didattica.di.unipi.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/12\/template-pds-wif-ENGLISH-NUOVO-regolamento-1-FS2.doc\">FS.doc<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/didattica.di.unipi.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/12\/template-pds-wif-ENGLISH-NUOVO-regolamento-1-ICT2.doc\">ICT.doc<\/a>, or<\/li>\n<li><strong data-start=\"250\" data-end=\"264\"><a href=\"https:\/\/didattica.di.unipi.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/12\/template-pds-wif-OldDegreeSystem.doc\">FORM.doc<\/a> <\/strong>for students following the old degree system <strong>without a curriculum<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The completed form must be sent to the <strong data-start=\"547\" data-end=\"571\">Study Plan Committee<\/strong> at <a href=\"mailto:pdswif@di.unipi.it\">pdswif@di.unipi.it<\/a>, which will process the request.<\/p>\n<p>The request must be submitted <em><strong>before<\/strong><\/em> <strong>taking the exams<\/strong> of the courses requiring approval is requested, and in any case,\u00a0<strong data-start=\"738\" data-end=\"790\">at least 3 months before the graduation sessions<\/strong>. This is necessary to allow the Study Plan Committee to carry out its preliminary evaluation and to enable the Degree Programme Council to issue authorization <em>(CdS 28\/11\/2022). <\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong data-start=\"984\" data-end=\"998\">\u26a0\ufe0f <\/strong>Failure to comply with these deadlines will result in the non-approval of the new study plan.
